Height: 19 inches

Hair, Eyes, Mouth: A permanently attached, white headscarf knotted in the front covers the bald head, painted light-brown eyes, a smiling open smile with sculpted and painted upper and lower teeth

Clothes: Mammy wears a full-length black satin, full-skirted dress with a white collar, a white apron, a red satin petticoat with a ruffled hemline and detached crinoline underneath, white pantaloons, and sculpted-on black Mary-Jane-style shoes.

Other: The 19-inch Franklin Heirloom “Mammy” porcelain doll, depicting Hattie McDaniel* from the 1939 movie, Gone with the Wind, was released by the Franklin Mint in 1989. It was part of a series of character dolls produced around the film’s 50th anniversary. *Hattie McDaniel received a Best Supporting Actress Oscar in 1940 for her iconic portrayal of “Mammy.”
