Name: Sheer Delight from the “Sheer Bliss Collection”
Made by and When: Madame Alexander, 2005
Material: Hard plastic
Marks: ALEXANDER (on the back)
Height: 8 inches
Hair, Eyes, and Mouth: Dark brown spiral curled wig, brown sleep eyes with hard plastic upper eyelashes and additional painted upper and lower eyelashes, closed mouth
Clothing: Orange, purple, white, green, and pink floral print dress; white panties, white socks, orange Mary Jane shoes that have an embroidered flower on the front.
Other: Sheer Delight Wendy, style #40815 is the first doll to use the then-new African American (AA) Wendy face, which has fuller features than the sculpt used for Caucasian Wendy Dolls. The dedicated AA Wendy sculpt has not been used since approximately 2015/2016. According to a reliable source, “Madame Alexander (MA) no longer uses the Wendy AA Gale Jarvis face sculpt because China kept the mold and others when MA decided to ship the dolls’ production line to China.”
