Hair, Eyes, and Mouth: Short black curly synthetic wig, hand-painted brown eyes, stitched smile
Clothing: White dress with bunny rabbit print and lace trim at the hem, disposable diaper; holds a cloth stuffed toy. The hang tag contains identifying information and the artist’s signature. White socks and the curator’s daughter’s infant shoes were added.
Other: Jan Shackelford’s dolls date back to the late-1980s and include limited edition and one-of-a-kind soft-sculptured dolls with character faces that readily identify them as her doll art.
