Announcement – Dolls on Exhibit

A doll exhibit featuring Black dolls was launched by the Museum of Cornish Life in Helston, Cornwall (Britain) on July 30, 2022. The exhibition will run through September 10, 2022.

Dr. Tehmina Goskar provided the information about the exhibition and the photos included in this post, one of which is of a panel that mentions Dee Bee Gee’s Virtual Black Doll Museum.

In this exhibition panel, for her assistance in identifying dolls, Dr. Goskar thanks the curator of Dee Bee Gee’s Virtual Black Doll Museum.

Read more about the exhibition at the Museum of Cornish Life website and in the Black Doll Collecting blog post here.

The exhibition includes a 1930s plastic/celluloid doll made in Germany.

Dolls are universally appealing and can touch many hearts.
