Hair/Eyes/Mouth: Black rooted hair in a curly updo style/brown painted eyes/closed mouth
Clothes: Wears a black velour strapless gown, a sheer black nylon jacket (full-length in the back) trimmed in black feathers, black nylon hose, black faux leather high heels, iridescent ear studs, and an iridescent beaded necklace.
Other: Part of a three-doll set, Dasia is the first full-figured African American 12-inch fashion doll. The other Big Beautiful Dolls were Dawn (Caucasian) and Dena (Latina). Each doll had a storyline. Dasia was a magazine editor. The Big Beautiful Doll line was created by African American entrepreneurs Audrey Bell-Kearney and Georgette Taylor. Dasia was nominated for the 2002 Dolls Award of Excellence.
