Clothes: These sister dolls wear colorful cotton dresses featuring hand smocking and embroidery; mesh, cotton, and lace petticoats; and cotton and lace pantaloons.  Rachael and Simone’s socks are hand-knitted of fine New Zealand wool. Their handmade leather shoes match their pastel dress colors.  Each doll has a hand-crafted soft toy.

Gallery images were generated from a postcard featuring the dolls. With permission from Bob of Pauline Middleton Original Dolls, the postcard was originally published on page 294 in chapter 5 of the curator’s second book, Black Dolls: A Comprehensive Guide to Celebrating, Collecting, and Experiencing the Passion.
