Marks: LMS 04 (incised in head), hand-signed by the artist “Lorna Miller-Sands” (on the back of the body)
Height: 14 inches
Hair, Eyes, Mouth: Mohair wig, hand-painted brown eyes with applied upper eyelashes, closed mouth; has a beauty mark above the lip
Clothes: Wears an ivory dress with pearl accents at the neck and an ivory flower at the waist (socks, shoes, and jointed bear were added by the curator).
Other: The former WeLoveBlackDolls Yahoo! Group commissioned Lorna Miller Sands to create their 2006 club doll. The artist “reborned” (modified) her “Big Bitties Collection” doll, Aaliyah, to create Carisma. Named by the artist, Carisma has a certificate of authenticity and is a limited edition of 8 dolls worldwide. This particular doll is #2 in the series.
