Most of these paper dolls were originally printed in the Swedish publications Hemmets Journal (HJ), Hemmets Veckotidning (HV), and Aret Runt (AR). HJ was Sweden’s second largest family-oriented publication in 2009. AR is a weekly women’s and family magazine published in Malmö, Sweden. Founded in 1946, it is one of the longest-running magazines in the country. All except two paper dolls are illustrations of various celebrities. The AR paper dolls include a paper doll of a young girl. The Shubila paper doll of an African girl is from the publication Vi Föräldrar.
