Name: SuperSize Christie

Made by and When: Mattel, 1976 (released in 1977)

Material: Vinyl, rigid plastic

Marks: Head markings: Taiwan/©1976 Mattel, Inc. Body markings: ©Mattel, Inc. 1976/U.S.A.

Height: 18 inches

Hair, Eyes, Mouth: Brown rooted waist-length hair with golden highlights (sun streaked) and a side part, hazel painted eyes, smiling mouth with painted teeth area

Clothes: The doll’s original aqua fashion has faded to pale pink. She wears a body suit with shimmery silver center and straps, matching full-length satin skirt, faux diamond stud earrings, and a faux diamond choker. Attached to the box liner enclosed in the original plastic baggie are a pair of aqua pants that have maintained their original aqua color (because they are enclosed in plastic) and a pair of aqua high heel shoes. Includes a doll stand, “Wear and Share” jewelry for the child and the doll, and an instruction sheet.

Other: SuperSize Christie is the only 18-inch Christie made by Mattel to date. The doll uses the Supersize head sculpt. The box illustrates the doll wearing an aqua fashion (the color the fashion is supposed to be). It is unfortunately common for this fashion to fade to pink.
