Material: Vinyl head, lower arms, and lower legs; tan cloth body

Height: 10 inches in the seated position

Hair, Eyes, Mouth: A black banged wig, curly on the top with multiple braids and beads around the bottom; brown stationary eyes with applied upper eyelashes and painted lower eyelashes, closed mouth

Clothes: Wears an African-print kufi, long-sleeved shirt, and skirt; tan underpants, and molded-on yellow sandals

Other: This doll was distributed in the US by Sandy USA, a company that produced multicultural, porcelain-looking vinyl dolls with the intent to adhere to culturally accurate facial features and clothing. This company also distributed a line of African American and Native American angels during the late 1990s/early 2000s as well as dolls and ornaments created by the late Annie Lee, angels and figurines by the late Della Reese, and figurines by other African American artists. Sandy Dolls, Inc./Sandy USA is no longer in business.

This doll was a gift to the museum from Alison Seevak on behalf of her late mother, Elinor Seevak.
