Name: Kandas and Nandie

Made by and When: Berdine Creedy Originals, 2006

Material: Vinyl, mohair, glass eyes

Marks: The artist’s signature is incised in the head.

Height: Kandas is 13 inches tall. Nandie is 10 inches tall.

Hair, Eyes, Mouths: Both dolls have dark brown curly mohair wigs, brown inset eyes with applied upper eyelashes and painted lower eyelashes. Their closed mouths are painted light rose.

Clothes: Dressed in identical white cap-sleeve dresses that have pearl bead-enhanced smocked bodices. Kandas wears white tights underneath white pantalettes and white Mary Jane shoes. The hems of Nandie’s pantalettes are trimmed in lace, and Nandie wears white sandals.

Other: Released in 2006 and sold separately, Kandas (the larger doll) is part of a numbered limited edition and is doll 65 of 130. Nandie is doll 61 of 130. Both dolls have a certificate of authenticity.
