Leneda Basic Dark

Hair, Eyes, Mouth: The short, black, rooted, curly hair was originally styled in Nubian knots; brown-painted eyes and a closed mouth featuring full lips.

Clothes: Arrived wearing a white tank top and panties, and white slippers ready to be dressed; boxed fashions, e.g., Leneda’s “Out of Africa” outfit, were sold separately for Leneda and the Caucasian doll, Leeann (not shown).

Leroy Basic Dark

Sold wearing boxer shorts, Leroy now wears the “Lenny – Ready For School” outfit.

Hair, Eyes, Mouth: Short black rooted hair, light-brown painted eyes, closed mouth with full lips

Clothes: Now dressed in Affordable Designs “Lenny – Ready for School” outfit, including Lenny’s socks and shoes, Leroy was sold wearing navy-blue boxer shorts with a white heart print. (Lenny, not shown, is the Caucasian male counterpart and is taller than Leroy.)

Winter Wonderland Leneda (Light Complexion)

Winter Wonderland Leneda has a light-brown complexion.

Hair, Eyes, Mouth: Long curly black rooted hair, hazel brown painted eyes, closed mouth with full lips

Clothes: The “Winter Wonderland Ski Lodge” fashion features a mock turtleneck, gray ski pants, a gray and yellow jacket, white panties and socks, and knee-high UGG-style tan suede, sheepskin-trimmed boots.

Winter Wonderland Leroy (Medium Complexion)

Winter Wonderland Leroy’s complexion is medium brown.

Hair, Eyes, Mouth: Short black rooted hair, light-brown painted eyes, closed mouth with full lips

Clothes: A mock turtleneck, blue and gray ski jacket, gray ski pants, socks; knee-high UGG-style tan suede, sheepskin-trimmed boots

Other: The dolls were marketed as 11 inches tall. Their actual height is 12 inches. Designed by Denis Bastien and sculpted by Maryanne Oldenburg, Leneda and Leroy are part of the now defunct Leeann and Friends Collection. The dolls were available in three complexions: dark, medium, and light brown. Later, articulated versions were available. Very Basic Leroy was produced in a limited edition of 100. The other dolls were made in limited editions of 500. Each doll in this installation, as well as the separately sold “Leneda – Out of Africa” outfit, included a certificate of authenticity (COA). A story written in the voice of Leeann is included on the back of each COA.
