Hair, Eyes, Mouth: Long black wavy hair, brown inset eyes, closed smile

Clothes/Accessories: Black framed eyeglasses, blue and white striped long-sleeved blouse, blue denim shorts, blue vinyl slip-on sneakers, and permanently inserted silver star stud earrings; has an extra outfit of denim pants, a black and pink polka dot sweater, and a “bookworm” jersey. The accessory includes a locking full-size journal for children to record their feelings and adventures with the doll.

Other: Calista is from the 18-inch line of all-vinyl BFC Ink dolls that focused on friendship, diversity, and self-esteem with a tagline of, “Stick together, friends forever!” The dolls have the usual five points of articulation with extra joints below the breast area and at the knees. Calista’s full name is Calista Knight. Her role in the BFC Ink Club is treasurer because she is a math whiz. A 9-1/2-inch version of this doll was also released the same year.
