Carly

Name: Carly

Made by and When: Toridan Originals (Lorna Miller Sands), 1990

Material: Polymer clay, cloth, stuffing, and human hair

Marks: (Head) Carly / Toridan

Height:  18 inches

Hair, Eyes, Mouth: Dark brown human hair is styled in two loose side pigtails adorned with a gold ribbon on each. The hand-painted side-glancing brown eyes once had applied upper eyelashes (the left eyelashes were missing upon arrival, which were removed). Carly has an open mouth with two sculpted upper teeth and a sculpted tongue.

Clothes: Wears a yellow floral-print dress with a back waist tie and matching panties. The originally bare feet are now covered with white socks and white shoes.

Other: This hand-sculpted, one-of-a-kind doll by Lorna Miller Sands was made when the artist worked under the brand, Toridan Originals. Toridan is a combination of her sons’ names. Carly was made for the original owner in 1990. A handwritten note from Lorna dated 04/10/2025 certifies that she made the doll in 1990.
