Marks: (On the back of both dolls’ breast plate) ©2003 Kish / Company; Evie in peach is hand-signed on the back by the artist and has a Kish & Company hang tag. (Globe) …Kishlets…what the world needs now, printed in gold letters, is on the lower rim of the globe. ©2003 Kish & Company Limited Edition IDEX 2004, is on the bottom of the globe in black letters.
Height: 4-1/2 inches
Hair, Eyes, Mouths: The original Evie has an auburn floss wig. Evie on Top of the World has been rewigged in a brown Heidi wig by Global Dolls. The original wig is identical to original Evie’s wig. Both dolls have brown-painted eyes and closed mouths with mauve lip color lined in red.
Clothes: Made in a limited edition of 500 worldwide, original Evie wears a peach Boneka dress with embroidered flowers at the bodice attached to a coral underdress; white lace-trimmed pantalettes, molded-on white socks, and molded-on brown shoes with three painted-on side buttons. Evie on Top of the World wears a Boneka yellow, red, and green plaid full-length dress with embroidered hearts and flowers on the white collar; white lace-trimmed pantalettes, molded-on white socks, and molded-on brown shoes with three painted-on side buttons.
Other: Helen Kish’s line of Kishlets are 4-1/2-inch resin dolls dressed in Boneka clothing. The original Evie was presented in a transparent cylinder. Evie on Top of the World was a 2004 International Doll Exposition (IDEX) exclusive produced in a limited edition of 100 dolls worldwide. A peg on top of the resin globe inserts into a hole underneath the doll’s right shoe. “IDEX, a trade show dedicated to the celebration of dolls, teddy bears, toys and collectible playthings, ran without interruption for twenty-two years” (IDEX). The last show was in 2013.
