Made by and When: Unknown maker, circa 1980s-1990s

Material: Cloth, yarn, felt, stuffing, embroidery thread

Marks: Unmarked

Height:  18 inches

Hair, Eyes, Mouth: Black yarn hair styled in two long braids with bangs; embroidered eyebrows, eyes, and nose; red felt smiling mouth with two upper teeth of unknown white material

Clothes: Charming (named by the curator), wears a red and white gingham dress with matching pantalettes and bonnet. The dress, bonnet, and pantalettes are trimmed in white eyelet. Red ribbon bows accent the doll’s hair and the dress’s neckline. Sewn-on white corduroy booties with a strip of red corduroy and two white buttons on the top center are worn underneath black patent-leather Mary-Jane-style shoes.

Other: This one-of-a-kind, handmade cloth doll is firmly stuffed and has added stuffing in the buttocks area to create a full bottom.
