Made by and When: Allied Grand Dolls, circa 1915

Material: Composition, paint, springs

Marks: (Upper back) AGD

Height:  9 inches

Hair, Eyes, Mouth: Sculpted black-painted hair, brown-painted eyes, dimpled cheeks, closed mouth with red lip color

Clothes: Redressed in a hand-made papier-mâché romper after arriving wearing oversized pants.

Other: The AGD mark is attributed to Allied Grand Dolls, an American doll company that operated from 1915 through 1980. Both black and white versions of this dimple-cheeked doll were produced, though the black versions are seldom encountered.
