Material: Artist vinyl, acrylic eyes, synthetic wigs, stuffed cloth bodies

Marks: (Heads) ©1990 Susan Wakeen Doll Company / Susan Wakeen. The dolls are numbered with an indelible marker behind the right ear on their necks. Michael is numbered 519/5000, and Chantal is numbered 1030/5000. A label on the bottom of Chantal’s right shoe bears the artist’s handwritten initials, SW.

Height:  20 inches

Hair, Eyes, Mouths: Curly short black Afro-textured wigs, inset brown acrylic eyes with applied upper eyelashes and painted lower eyelashes, closed mouths with red lip color

Clothes: (Michael) White shirt with a yellow collar and yellow trim at the sleeves, yellow suspender pants with a bear appliqué on the bib, white socks, and white cloth lace-up shoes; (Chantal) white dress with lace trim on the collar and at the hem, a light blue floral appliqué enhances the collar, white pantaloons, white lace-trimmed ankle socks, and white faux leather baby shoes. Chantal has a white ribbon bow in her hair and wears permanently placed yellow stud earrings.

Other: Michael and Chantal were made for the adult doll collector in a limited edition of 5000 dolls each by doll artist and sculptor Susan Wakeen. Founder and President of The Susan Wakeen Doll Company Inc. 1982 to 2001, Susan, an award-winning artist, now focuses on the fine art of the sculpted portrait.
