Made by and When: Simon & Halbig, ca. 1900

Material: Bisque socket head, jointed composition body

Marks:  1078 / Germany / SIMON & HALBIG / 8

Height: 18-1/2 inches

Hair, Eyes, Mouth: Spiral curled black wig, brown glass eyes, open mouth with upper teeth

Clothes:  Wears an elaborate period-appropriate yellow and burgundy dress with lace trim, white lace stockings, yellow shoes, a matching handbag, and a feathered hat with a pin.

Other: Made in Germany, the Simon & Halbig 1078 mold is rarely seen as a brown-complexioned doll. This mold was more often used for white dolls.
