Hair, Eyes, Mouth: Below-the-shoulder curly rooted hair with a middle part and a braid on both sides in the front, accented with a fabric headband that matches the fabric of the clothes; light brown painted eyes with applied upper eyelashes, painted lower eyelashes, gold and orange eyeliner/eyeshadow; closed mouth with dark lip color
Clothes: Two-piece batik sleeveless top and midi-length fitted skirt that flares at the hemline; the skirt is trimmed with black beads at the hemline, a row of orange fringe, and a row of black fringe. Orange fringe wristlets are trimmed with the dress fabric. Accessories include gold-tone hoop earrings, gold-tone armbands, a multistrand necklace of orange and black beads, and a strand of white and gold beads; holds a wicker basket, has a certificate of authenticity, and a Lucite-based doll stand.
Other: Created in a limited edition of 500, this JHD Fashion Doll from the Mizi and Friends Platinum Journey Collection uses the Anna May sculpt and represents a Kenyan woman shopping for food at “a lively festive street market in East Africa… She carries a handmade basket” (JHD description). Articulated in the usual five areas, the articulation extends to the upper torso, elbows, wrists, and knees. The doll has an extra set of hands.
