Thirstee Walker

Name: Thirstee Walker

Made by and When: Horsman Dolls, 1964

Material: Soft vinyl face; rigid vinyl arms, legs, and body

Marks:  (Head) HORSMAN DOLLS© INC. / 19 ©64 / TB26; (Lower back) Made in China

Height: 27 inches

Hair, Eyes, Mouth: Brown rooted hair styled in two side pigtails with bangs, brown sleep eyes, nurser mouth (to drink from a baby bottle)

Clothes: Two-piece red flannel pajamas with peppermint stripe panel on the front, back, and enclosed feet; replaced baby bottle. The last gallery photo illustrates a different version of Thirtsee Walker with short hair wearing in a white dress trimmed in red and white gingham.

Other: Throughout the 1960s and 1970s, Horsman released several versions of their 27-inch companion doll, Thirstee Walker. The doll was marketed as a child-size drink and wet doll. The water is drained from the mouth through a hole between the legs when the doll is “fed” from the baby bottle.
