Material: Vinyl head, torso, upper and lower arms, upper and lower legs; doe suede-stuffed mid arms and waist to upper thighs; the left leg is slightly bent at the knee.
Marks: PH (on the head), PSH (on the upper back), 01 R. PAT/44/250 (written on the front of the left thigh)
Height: 19 inches
Hair, Eyes, Mouth: Dark brown mohair wig has two lime green hair clips on the doll’s left and a yellow ribbon is threaded through the hair on the doll’s right, brown stationary eyes, closed mouth with dark lip color. Patricia has a puzzled or even angry facial expression as interpreted by the frowns in her brow.
Clothes: White sweater dress has detachable sleeves, yellow waist scarf, taupe shapewear-type undergarment, white above-the-knee knit socks, and lime green suede platform shoes.
Other: After leaving Gotz (or Goetz), Philip Heath founded Philip Heath Designs (PHD). His Renaissance Collection is the first series of dolls produced under PHD. In addition to Patricia, Stephanie and Ruby are other dark-skinned dolls in the collection. Each doll was limited to 250 pieces and had a certificate of authenticity. Patricia is number 44 of 250. More About the Artist: “British doll artist Philip S. Heath was a master at capturing a child’s heart and soul. All of his dolls are sculpted after real children. Heath sculpted for Goetz doll manufacturer that produced his dolls in vinyl. Heath died on November 28, 2011 in Worcestershire in the United Kingdom. He was 62 years old.
